PIPAY AND YOU
What a coincidence! While S Magazine is celebrating its anniversary so is PIPAY! For those of you who don’t know, PIPAY is a fashion store where we sell shirts, bags, accessories, jeans, dresses and whatever else you can imagine a lady will wear. It is also what my parents used to call me as a little girl.
How did PIPAY start? I’ve always loved to design shirts and do my own accessories. I usually do it when I can’t sleep or during days when I have no work. It was never a serious hobby just an outlet – whenever I remember to work on a project, I will. I also love to put clothes together – from pieces of outfits being layered on top of each other to accessorizing simple shirts, making it more interesting.
How do we choose the right outfit? I honestly believe there is no rule when it comes to fashion. It depends on the persons’ personality and what makes her feel good about herself. What you wear is a reflection of who you are.
Is there a right cut for you body shape? Yes, but again I feel it’s how you carry yourself and the outfit that you are wearing. Only you can tell how comfortable and confident you feel with the outfit. I think we shouldn’t limit ourselves will certain cuts and fashion just because we’re not stick thin like the models we see on magazines and the television. Try a new piece all the time. Maybe it will be overdoing it when you put together all the new items in fashion. Choose one that is in style then mix it with your sure hit jeans or skirt.
Fashion is mixing and matching pieces together…old pair of jeans with the new “off shoulder, beaded top,” or an old white cotton shirt with the latest A-line floral skirts. Add a fashionable bag and accessories with earrings or brooches (the hottest thing now) then you have a new you.
Again fashion is fun. We should be part of its adventure. Let’s try something different every so often. After all, life is short. We should enjoy it to the fullest. Yes, that includes trying something new when it comes to our style and our look.
