April 2005!
Who is the real Concert Queen?
Regine Velasquez pits talents with Pops Fernandez on April 2005!
Watch out for the biggest main event of 2005 produced by Starmedia Entertainment.
Two of Asia’s best female concert artists will outdo each other in a concert dubbed “Queens on Fire”. Who is the real concert queen? Regine or Pops? Watch it on April 2, 2005 at Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles California. Regine and Pops share center stage with Eric Santos and will answer this lingering question in the show that will set ablaze the start of the spring season of big concerts.
Just last year, in December 3 and 4, Regine Velasquez staged her solo concert entitled “Reigning Still”. Her last solo concert, “R2K” was staged in Araneta Coliseum in 1999. When the Songbird returned to the Big Dome, the fans responded even with typhoon Yoyong unleasing its fury, making the show a smashing success that no typhoon can stop. Guests were Ariel Rivera, Sarah Geronimo, Rachel Ann Go, Sheryn Regis, Kyla, Francis M, Andrew E., the Tux and Hotdogs. Raul Mitra provided musical direction. Regine sang a slew of her monster hit songs as well as interpretations of popular songs.
Pops also had to match the unstoppable Songbird, after all she still holds the “Concert Queen” title. Not to be outdone, Pops held her own concert entitled “IT GIRL” last December 11. This show was conceptualized for her to sing the songs of the new divas like Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears.
Besides being beautiful and multi-talented, these artists are the formidable performers in the music industry. Pops, an “It Girl” in her own right, paid tribute to these international divas. The concert was an exciting evening of high-powered rendition of song and dance. It was directed by Floy Quintos. “It Girl” the concert, happened to be a sneak preview of Pop’s upcoming album under Warner Records.
Now, the question is how do you have two queens in one roof? Prepare for fire and brimstone and watch this upcoming concert on April 2, 2005.
