The country’s Concert Queen Pops Fernandez stages a concert that pays tribute to today’s "it girls." Slated tonight (Dec. 11 at the Ultra), "It Girl" promises to be a night full of song and dance.
Pops explains the concept of the concert: "We wanted to come up with a show that will showcase the "it girls" of today: Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Britney Spears and many more. They are the most formidable names in the music scene today and with a concert featuring their music, an electrifying night is guaranteed.
Pops Fernandez is the country’s certified "It girl" because she has managed to keep the public’s interest up in the more than 20 years she has been in the biz.
A woman who wear her many hats with élan, majesty and verve, Pops is the epitome of the modern woman who’s in control. Pops is not just the Concert Queen. She is not just a gifted singer, dancer and actor. She’s not just abut Pipay, her line of upbeat clothes and accessories. She’s all these and more.
"I am not afraid to try new things in my life and in my career," the "It Girl" chimes in. "I believe that it’s better to try and fail than not to try at all and end up telling yourself in the future that I should have done this or that."
But if you think that she has done it all, well, think again. The Concert Queen is up and about once again for her biggest major concert to date. In "It Girl" Pops will once again prove how she has earned the title "Concert Queen" and how royal, fabulous and spectacular she can be on stage.
With her signature breathtaking production numbers and fabulous costumes, Pops will defy conventions as she entertains her audience.
"It Girl" is directed by Floy Quintos and musical director is Homer Flores with special guests Jay-R, Christian Bautista and Hotlegs. Produced by DSL Productions, the concert is presented by Smart Communications. Minor sponsors are Red Crab, Lyric Piano, Tips ‘N Toes, Shangri-La Plaza Mall and Woman Today. Tickets are now available at all Ticketworld branches.
Besides "It Girl," Pops is also busy promoting her new album titled, "When Words are not Enough," under Warner Music Philippines. She is also the new host of "Sing-Galing" with John Lapuz on ABC 5.
